SEP 21 - Six bank s and financial institutions (BFIs) on Friday purchased outright 32-day treasury bills worth Rs 8.5 billion at an average discount of 0.04 percent from Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB).
Govt to issue more dev bonds than T-bills
SEP 20 - In a sharp departure from the past, the government will raise more than 50 percent of the internal loans through development bonds this fiscal year. Earlier, the government used to raise the loans mainly through treasury bills (T-bills).
IB asks companies to assess risks in detail
The insurance regulator — Insurance Board (IB) — has asked non-life insurance companies to issue policies only after getting a detailed risk assessment.
NRB to sell securities worth Rs 8.5bn
The central bank is undertaking outright sale auction tomorrow, following two consecutive weeks of reverse repo, to absorb excess liquidity in the financial system.
