KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank has said it will be irrelevant to remove or readjust the peg with Indian currency at the moment, in a statement that is likely to quell debates over change in currency regime that have been taking place since Nepali rupee started taking a beating against the US dollar.

KATHMANDU, AUG 13 - Micro finance institutions (MFIs) have been required to obtain the credit history of potential borrowers from the local branch offices of commercial banks, development banks or finance companies before extending loans exceeding Rs 50,000.
Banks and financial institutions that have yet to fulfill the regulatory paid up capital requirement will have to submit their capital plan by the end of the first quarter of the current fiscal year.

February 12, 2020- India, which restricted imports of refined palm oil and palmolein in January, has exempted Nepal and has started issuing licences to import some refined palmolein from the Himalayan nation, two government officials told Reuters.
